Blessing of the Animals – St. Pete Deanery Event

  • St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church 5441 9th Avenue North St. Petersburg, FL, 33710 United States (map)

Join us for a joyful Blessing of the Animals, hosted by the St. Pete Deanery in honor of St. Francis Day — a time to celebrate the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment.

Location:
St. Vincent’s Episcopal Church
5441 9th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710

Bring your beloved pets — great and small — for a special outdoor blessing. If your animal doesn’t travel well, you’re welcome to bring a photo to be blessed instead.

Special Guests:
Birds from George C. McGough Nature Park, a local wildlife sanctuary, will be joining us!

Snacks for dogs and people provided.

This tradition, rooted in the teachings of St. Francis, reminds us of the sacred bond we share with all living creatures. Come celebrate the beauty of God’s creation and the animals we love.

All are welcome — two-legged, four-legged, feathered, or furry!
